These are my specific objectives for the year ahead – this is where I’m going to take my priorities next. • Complete, and document, the launch of Find it @ Lincoln • Write a draft collection development policy to inform the shift from print to ‘e’ • Pilot digital-to-digital copying under the CLA extended licence [...]

Photos from Mashed Library
I’m in here a couple of times, looking bemused. Live from London: Mashed Library ’08
I’m at Birkbeck today for Mashed Library ’08. Here’s a feed of my notes on a Learning Lab (micro)blog set up for the occasion. Visualising our e-journals usage
More than 36,000 e-journal titles are listed on our A-to-Z, but student and staff interest is not spread equally between those titles. BL’s new Web site and catalogue
The British Library have redesigned their Web site, which now contains prominent links to the BL’s presence on various social networking/media sites. They are also developing a new Ex Libris Primo search interface for their catalogue. (Spotted on Lorcan Dempsey’s weblog.)
Changes in SMT
Philippa has decided to go half-time for the next two years prior to retirement. This gives the department the opportunity to appoint a half-time (job-share) senior manager. The post is due to be advertised soon.
GCW in THE, OK?

Old photos of Brayford Campus
I’ve been uploading our collection of old (and not-so-old) pictures of the GCW to flickr. But I thought you might also be interested in this site (found by Julian) with some pictures of the whole of the Brayford site, in the before… http://www.leytransport.i12.com/holmes.htm
Tracking the growth of L&LR blogs
There are around 15 subscribers to this, the L&LR staff blog (average over the last 7 days), according to FeedBurner, with an average ‘reach‘ (people actively engaging with the content – clicking on links, listening to audio, etc.) of 2. Our public, student-facing news blog, on the other hand, has “only” 12 subscribers (7-day average), [...]
