Library & LR induction handbooks through (recent) history: a trainspotter’s guide
This is a little bit anorakish, I’ll be the first to admit. But I thought it would be interesting to see how our induction handbook(s) have changed through the years. Thanks to our resident archivists who’ve hung on to our previous work! Does anyone have anything from between 1999 and 2003?

Library induction quiz
For info, here is a copy of the library induction quiz (library-quiz-2008) that is being given to new full-time MBA students tomorrow (Wed 24th Sept) as part of their library induction. The idea is that the quiz answers are part of the following presentation and the students are asked to shout them out at the appropriate time!
Staff on the helpdesks at Brayford may encounter some of these students – please don’t give them the answer to the questions but you are allowed to give clues!
Many thanks
Alison
My induction 2008 slideshows
This is the induction presentation I’m using with my technology students (Computing, Games Computing, Audio/Media Technology etc.) this year. Feel free to copy/re-use any bits of it.
And here’s Julie’s and my one that we use with new groups of Holbeach students:
I embedded these presentations using slideshare.net
